Our Story

Healthcare in the United States has always been one of the most important topics for millions of people — after all, it concerns your very well life and well-being! Yet despite this fact, American healthcare is also incredibly confusing, with a number of different legal policies, insurance plans, state regulations, and more governing how Americans get their healthcare.

Studies have indicated that this confusion often causes a vast majority of Americans to be unfamiliar with many important concepts in new health legislation. As a result, the public is often silent on efforts to reform the American healthcare system, hampering efforts to make the system fairer and more efficient.

Healtix was founded to change all that. A 501(c)3 social impact non-profit organization, Healtix is dedicated to educating the public on important topics in healthcare reform. Through our state-of-the-art issue briefs, we educate the public on sensitive and complex issues in healthcare. Through Healtix reports, we provide first-hand interviews and reports with leading changemakers in the healthcare field, report on important pieces of state legislation, and more. Through our Health Politics Tracker, you also can see the status of health policy legislation and what supporters and opponents are saying about it. Lastly, through our Reform the Future program, we provide activists and reformers with resources, training, and connections to current non-profit and advocacy organizations to help them make a difference in their community. In short, we strive to make the future of American healthcare better for everyone — one mind at a time.
